Time to dust off your cowboy boots and polish your belt buckle till it glistens with Surrey’s most famous event coming to town: the Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair.
From May 20-23, 2016 the population of Cloverdale more than triples on the Victoria Day long weekend with visitors from all over Metro Vancouver, and afar, eager to see the Cloverdale Rodeo Parade, midway, country music bands, rodeo, agricultural exhibits and the many family-friendly activities on the Cloverdale Fairgrounds.
From Marching Bands to Vintage Cars to Horses
Where else would you be able to have horses, marching bands, floats, vintage cars and dancers come together in one place? Only at the Cloverdale Rodeo Parade. Be prepared to have a good old-fashioned time where a li-le bit of Surrey’s country lifestyle still exists.
In its 70th year, the Cloverdale Rodeo Parade brings young and old outside onto the streets of Cloverdale – with lawn chairs, blankets and plenty of enthusiasm – to watch a little taste of western living walk, dance and roll by.
Tile Town’s Community Ambassadors Shop Local
Tile Town’s Tyler wouldn’t miss the parade for anything. Tyler will be bringing Surrey’s store manager, Joelle Cooke with him to represent our local business. Joelle recently went shopping at Cloverdale’s Stampede Tack & Western Wear to get her first pair of cowboy boots and a cowboy hat.
Not sure what to look for in a western boot, Joelle was in for a treat. Nikko Konyk, the daughter of Floss and Ralph Winkler (the owners of Stampede) was on hand to help Joelle pick out a boot suited to her needs.
With the right style and size, Joelle is ready to go a little bit country and show her support for her local community by shopping in Cloverdale and being in the parade. Look for Joelle and Tyler in the Cloverdale Rodeo Parade on Saturday, May 20. The parade starts at 10 am, sharp! Tyler will be the big red tile handing out tattoos and candy to the kids.
Tyler will be back on duty to answer your questions on the type of tile or tile products to use for your next project at www.asktyler.ca afer the May Long Weekend. Until then, enjoy the rodeo and the agricultural exhibits and displays which many local residents work all year long to enter.
